WHAT IS A ''COMPLIMENTARY SOLAR POWER SYSTEM''?
A totally free, full-size solar power system that will typically cover most or all of your electricity consumption.
• The size of each custom system depends on the location and characteristics of the home
• Each system uses the highest-quality components from the biggest names in the industry, which are guaranteed to last at least 20 years
IS THE SOLAR POWER REALLY FREE?
Yes, it is all free. The solar power system itself is free, plus all the electricity it produces. It may sound hard to believe but it’s just our way of showing appreciation to our real estate clients. Learn more about Reeco’s mission to deliver more real estate value through sustainability.
HOW DOES REECO AFFORD TO GIVE OUT FREE SOLAR POWER SYSTEMS?
We pass the savings along to you in 3 ways:
1. Operating at a lower cost, thanks to our advanced real estate and technological expertise. It’s why we can afford to dedicate a portion of our earned real estate commission toward your new system.
2. Building direct relationships with the solar industry’s top manufacturers and producers, eliminating the middleman.
3. Securing government and utility incentives for the Reeco Solar Program, through local community partnerships and involvement in State and Federal environmental initiatives. These initiatives reward our commitment to saving the planet using clean, renewable energy.
HOW MUCH CAN I EXPECT TO SAVE ON MY ELECTRICITY BILL?
It depends on the size of your home, size of your solar power system, and your electricity consumption, among other factors. However, the typical system saves hundreds to thousands of dollars per year… and tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars over the lifetime of the system.
We display the Solar Savings—both the annual electricity savings and lifetime electricity savings—for every home on the market, taking the guesswork out of the process. Simply click on any available home on GoReeco.com to find out exactly how much value you’ll receive with Reeco.
HOW LONG WILL MY SOLAR POWER SYSTEM LAST?
All of our solar power systems use the highest-quality components made by the biggest names in the field. Each system is backed by one of the best warranties in the industry. They are guaranteed to last at least 20 years so you can enjoy a sustainable home for decades.
WHAT IS A ''SUSTAINABLE HOME''?
A home that uses renewable energy sources such as solar energy or wind energy to decrease its environmental footprint. All homes bought and sold with Reeco receive complimentary solar power systems, which can save not only money but also save the planet.
We display the annual eco-impact of every Reeco home on the market, so you instantly know the environmental impact your home would have in terms of reducing pollution from burning fossil fuels. We put it in terms of:
TREES: the equivalent number of trees planted as a result of switching to clean power;
OIL BARRELS: The amount of oil consumption reduced as a result of using renewable energy versus burning fossil fuels;
CARBON DIOXIDE (CO2): The amount of harmful Carbon Dioxide, measured in pounds (lbs.) that will be reduced by switching to solar power;
CAR POLLUTION: Although our solar systems can’t replace your car for getting around town, it will reduce your overall carbon footprint. We show you the equivalent in terms of “miles driven” that you are offsetting by going solar with Reeco.
WILL A SOLAR POWER SYSTEM INCREASE THE VALUE OF MY HOME?
Solar-powered homes are in very high demand. Based on data from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), they sell 17% faster and for 20% more than homes without renewable energy. With a free solar power system from Reeco, sellers can increase the value of their homes and attract more buyers.
Buyers also win because they receive a home that is higher in value and reduce their environmental footprint at the same time.
HOW DOES A SOLAR POWER SYSTEM GENERATE ELECTRICITY?
SOLAR PANELS: The photovoltaic (PV) solar panel absorb sunlight and produce direct current (DC) electricity.
INVERTER: The inverter converts the direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC) for electricity to be used in the home.
ELECTRIC METER: The utility meter records the net amount of electricity produced by the solar system. When the system produces more electricity than is being used, the meter will spin backwards and the excess electricity is sent to the utility grid. The homeowner is credited for the excess electricity at the end of the billing cycle.
PERFORMANCE MONITORING: View your energy production and usage online from any device.
